Purposes of Condensate System
The purposes of the Condensate
system are to:
- Condense steam from the main turbine and TDBFP and collect steam drains in to the main condenser.
- Remove non-condensable gases from the main condenser.
- Purify and preheat water prior to injection into the boiler.
- Supply the driving head to pump water from the main condenser to the boiler.
- Provide injection path for High Pressure Coolant Injection system to the bpoler
- Provide injection path for Reactor Core Isolation Cooling system to the boiler.
- Provide a path for returning Reactor Water Cleanup system to the boiler.
- CST (condensate storage tank)
- Condenser
- Hotwell
- CEP (Condensate extraction pump)
- Main ejector
- Gland steam condenser
- Deaerator level control valve
- Excess return to CST
- CEP minimum re-circulation line
- Drain cooler
- LPH-1 (Low pressure feed water heater-1)
- LPH-2 (Low pressure feed water heater-2)
- LPH-3 (Low pressure feed water heater-3)
- Deaerator
- FST (Feed storage tank)
- LP heaters drains & vents
- LPDFT (Low pressure drain flash tank)
- HPDFT (High pressure drain flash tank)
